Why Walk and Talk?
Gentle movement during a session can help regulate your nervous system, supporting emotional release, reducing anxiety, and enhancing mental clarity. Walking side-by-side can make conversations feel less intense than traditional face-to-face seating, inviting deeper openness and flow. Time in nature is proven to help regulate mood, lower stress, and restore a sense of balance. By blending physical movement with meaningful conversation, Walk & Talk promotes mind-body integration, helping bridge the gap between thoughts and physical sensations while supporting trauma processing and building self-trust.
Sometimes, the best conversations happen outdoors. Walk & Talk sessions combine the healing power of therapy with the grounding rhythm of nature. These sessions invite you into a more embodied, spacious way of processing—side by side, step by step.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want a fresh approach to therapy, Walk & Talk sessions offer an alternative to sitting across a screen or in a traditional office. We’ll take our session outside, allowing the natural world to support your healing process.
What to Expect:
Walk & Talk sessions are 50 minutes long and take place in mutually agreed-upon outdoor locations in or around West Lake Hills or Dripping Springs. You can expect light walking on accessible trails or pathways, always at your pace—both physically and emotionally. If you’re not feeling up for walking on a given day, we can sit outdoors instead, ensuring the experience is always comfortable and supportive.
Sliding scale fees are available on a case-by-case basis. To discuss this option, please call or email our office and we will be happy to assist you! Additional charges may be applied for letter writing and other special requests.
